Howdy Fellow Freddies!!!
Here is some tips that will minimize the risk of getting disconnected during a run at the ESL
#1 Make the PS3 the ONLY piece of equipment connected to the network.
This means turning off your computer or at least shut down the internet connection... While your playing is not a good time for microsoft to decide to download an update to ya or update your virus software and choke your bandwidth.. (if you have a WII, unplug it, it will still communicate in a power down state)
#2 If possible hard wire your PS3 to the modem/router and unplug any other usb/ethernet cables.
#3 Turn off your wireless portion of your router.. you will have to access your main menu to do this.. If your only option is wireless get the router as near as you can and make the line of site path free from as much material as possible.. you can't move a wall but you can move the router higher so it isn't going through a bookcase and other things..
#4 make sure all cords and electrical plugs are out of the way of any traffic. accidents happen and you don't want to lose connection because something came unplugged..
#5 make sure your instrument dongle's are free from obstructions.. I was playing one time and my dog laid down on the dongle and I lost connection..
#6 install fresh batteries into your instruments.
#7 Have plenty of snacks and drinks handy..
#8 Have a Rockin good time!!
If you have any questions let me know and I will be glad to point you in the right direction.
