Hey guys!
The Dojo will finally be making it's ESL run in a couple weeks, and there may be some spots open. We'll be doing the ESL on Saturday, 11/14 at 1:00 PM Eastern, and I'd love for some Freddies to fill in any gaps in the lineup (I know we'll have at least one).
As of right now, I'm not sure which instruments will be available, but if you want in, just reply in this post and I'll try to get everything set in the next few days. I know it's a ways off, but these things take planning -- it is 8 hours, after all.
A couple of notes:
We will not be attempting the Bladder of Steel trophy, so if you're looking for that, then I wouldn't waste your time with our run.
I'd like to play bass since I've only beaten the ESL on guitar, so keep that in mind if the other g/b slot is open.
Because a full band ESL run is always a little dicey, I'd like to get a few jams in between now and then with our lineup to make sure there aren't any connection issues.
Along with that, I'd ask that the people playing be able to hard-wire their PS3 into their modem (or at least have a secure wireless connection), and be able to turn off all other computers, etc. for the duration of the run. The last time we did an fb ESL run, we did this and didn't have any problems.
Also, and this should go without saying but I'll say it anyway, I'd ask that anyone interested be able to beat all 84 songs on expert on whatever instrument they want to play. I don't care how well we do, I just want to get through it and it would suck to get to Visions and not be able to get passed it!
Anyway, sorry for the OCD ramble, I'm just trying to get all my ducks in a row for this -- we were able to do it in our old band, and I'm tempting fate trying this again.
As always, first priority will go to Maarten, Luxe, and Tim, but I know we'll have at least one spot open -- should be fun, as I may attempt the ESL beer challenge (which I just made up and will involve taking a drink after every song -- doesn't sound bad until you figure it's about 5 songs/beer).
