• The Raconteurs – “Many Shades of Black”
• The Raconteurs – “Salute Your Solution”
• The Raconteurs – “Steady, As She Goes”
• Alanis Morissette – “Head Over Feet”
• Alanis Morissette – “Ironic”
• Electric Six – “Dance Epidemic”
• Electric Six – “Gay Bar”
• Electric Six – “I Don’t Like You”
• The Flobots – “Handlebars”
I haven't played all of them yet but for the sake of getting this party started I'll post about what I did play.
Raconteurs
Sorry I only played one track and can't remember which, but it was very chill and super easy. Will update later when I play the other ones.
Alanis Morissette
Two very well known songs. Head over Feet felt verrrry long, but I guess the extra vox bits at the end could add some interest for the singer. IMO if we had to have more Alanis it would have been better with less Alanis.
Ironic is just like you've heard it a gazillion times on the radio. Neither song should give anyone much trouble. If you're a fan you'll be happy.
The Flobots
Handlebars, It's mostly talkies, but the rhymes are intricate and every line is filled with alliteration and the best poetic tricks. The overall goodness of the song makes up for the fact that it's talky-heavy. The little horn riff in the song is win.
Electric Six
Gay Bar, I recommend belting this one out while strolling thru the mall or at crowded bus stops. I have no idea if it's fun to play for the rest of the band but on vox, it's the only truly awesome talky song in the game, except of course, Debaser. Extremely catchy and fun.
Dance Epidemic. I sang this one once and that's enough for me. It's not a bad song per se just not really fun to sing IMO.
I Don't Like You is rated devil heads but it's more like a 3 on difficulty. Kind of like Sleepwalker in that there are many (but not nearly as many) similar but slightly different pitches that could keep it from being an automatic FC every time, but no one is going to fail out. Musically it's better than Dance Epidemic IMO.
So that's it. Not a stellar week for vocalists but Gay Bar pretty much makes up for everything!
Edited to say I played the Raconteurs finally and it's probably the most melodic DLC of the week, more sing-able than the other songs we got. It's worth checking out.
