HOLY CRAP THIS CD IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the most recent cd the Hives released, and far and away my favorite. They worked with about half a dozen different producers for this one, which is often the kiss of death for a band, but they make it work here. The Neptunes (back when they were still awesome), Jackknife Lee, Dennis Herring, and some guy from Sweden all put their own stamp on these songs, but they also emphasize the Hives natural rowdiness, and the fact that singer Pelle Almqvist sounds half mad. The net result is the Hives end up sounding like a way more diverse band than they probably really are lol. Not the best band in the world, but when they're at their best they kick a lot of ass. Anyway, here's some of my favorite tracks:
Try It Again-I love the back and forth guitars on this one.
Tick Tick Boom-Probably their best know song at this point, its been used in about a million commercials and movie previews and tv shows etc.
Hey Little World-Clearly one of the songs Jackknife Lee produced, not that that's a bad thing.
A Stroll Through Hives Manor Corridors-Because every album that makes it onto Rock Band needs a track that makes you say "Why the hell did they even bother with this stupid song?" ;D

I know almost nothing about The Hives, but since funk likes them, I'm probably going to have to hate them to a degree that is directly proportional to the inital font size of this thread.

HOLY CRAP I HATE THESE SONGS TO A DEGREE THAT TEXT SIZE CAN NOT BEGIN TO EMPHASIZE!!!!!
Try It Again - All this song needs is Harajuku girls to get slapped with a big fat Gwen Stefani induced copyright infringement lawsuit. These B-A-N-A-N-A-S taste like sh*t!
Tick Tick Boom - The best of the bunch feels like a missed opportunity. Love the chorus but it feels like they should have kicked it up a notch after the tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-boom. Instead they let it fizzle out every time.
Hey Little World - The chorus is an ugly mix of TV theme songs. The inbred child of Scooby Doo and Cops. Honestly, how many people lied and told them this would make a good song? If my girlfriend looks fat in her dress, I tell her so.
A Stroll Through Hives Manor Corridors - Funk, you owe me 2 minutes and 39 seconds of my life back. Just so you know, I smited you for this.

So wait, you mean you didn't like it? Try Again-Which Gwen Stefani song does this sound like, exactly? I honestly don't hear it. If they're ripping anybody off its that Hey Mickie woman during the chorus. But that's ok, because its a fun song. Its ok to have fun sometimes Tick Tick Boom-The first time they kick right back in with a gigantic wall of guitars. The second time they segue into a bridge, after which is the noisiest part of the song. Its a big loud rock song that still ebbs and flows. Its neat. Hey Little World-The Cops theme song? Wha? I guess the lyrics do rhyme with "Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?" but so do plenty of other words. I'm not sure if using words that end in the oo sound is the same as making an inbred mix of television theme songs. A Stroll Through Hives Manor Corridors- Ha ha I don't owe you anything, I said the song was trash right after the title. That was the whole point in posting it, so you could see it would fit in with all the Silver's, Thank You Boys, Doll's, and I'm In Touch With Your World's we already have in Rock Band.

I gotta admit, that particular song is growing on me, I find myself walking around my house singing the chorus.
