When we play in a full band, I'll usually write the song names and scores down on paper or on the laptop. Then I'll check the ranking information using a site like KELDON (rockbandscores.com). It's a bit time consuming, but very rewarding when you see how well you did versus other bands!

Yeah – as VW says I just write the songs and scores down as we play them (its fairly easy for the drummer to do this as I just have a pad on a coffee table next to the kit – I found it a bit annoying doing it when playing Bass when I tend to wander around more) then go to the Leaderboards afterwards and write down the positions. If you have beaten your high score then (obviously) it shows your ranking but if I didn’t then I just work out what the rank would have been. Currently there are no leaderboards for the last month or so of DLC with no sign of when that will be fixed.
I only record scores when in a full band, but then I usually play Quick Play if I don’t have 4 then switch to World Tour when I have a full band so I know that all the scores for “Jim’s Fred Phobia” are full band scores.
The Beatles works differently as it gives everyone in the band the score under their ID rather than just the band, this seems fairer but makes it harder to get a highly ranked score as there a 4 scores for each band rather than 1. I sort of prefer this as it means you can still get rankings in quickplay and everyone can pick songs. The Beatles has several improvements like this – especially how it groups people to invite in by who is online rather than just a very long list which you have to scroll right through to invite people. It also tells you how many people were playing when you achieved your highest score. I wonder which way the RB3 leaderboards will work, maybe there will be band and individual leaderboards?
