This afternoon (or probably this morning for all the other rockers)’s “Jim’s Fred Phobia” jam was brought to you by me on drums and Greyghost showing off some his massive guitar skills. VW-Fetish came in on Guitar/bass and showed us how he’s bringing all new kinds of awesome to Camp Freddy. Then Delyrical joined us and I could, as ever, only stand aghast at her amazing vocal ability, FCing song after song.
Even I was on reasonable form when playing with all these mighty skills – until Dammit came up as a Random track and killed my arm and I limped in with 90% whilst everyone else nailed it – the only song we didn’t gold star.
Anyway the setlist and scores were:
Bring Me to Life – 1,129,897 (45th) Just a Girl – 1,156,219 (31st) Linger – 1,735,441 (9) – Top Ten score yeah!!!!!!!! Mr Brightside – 1,404,149 (50th) Spiderwebs – 1,816,687 (38th) Take Me Out – 1,291,061 (25th) Jeremy – 1,346,693 (48th) Dammit – 870,985 (98th) Alive – 1,669,994 (76th)
Awesome rocking with you all – rock hard, rock Freddy

That was a rockin' session! VERY respectable scores, especially the RB2 on-disc tracks that have been out for a whole year now! The highlight of the day was Jesse getting puked on by the little one! LOL

Well today "Jim's Fred Phobia" took a rest (bar a brief 3 piece jam for me RDominick and VW-Fetish earlier) and the Beatles came out instead. However disaster struck and I broke one of the screws on my ion set - and its going to take 2 days for the apparently very solid glue to set to fix it. There was no option but to get the stock RB1 kit out of the spare room and see if I could still play it. Well no option besides me playing guitar and we all know what sort of disaster that could lead to. Anyway the first set was played by me on the rubbish RB1 drums, Jesse on Guitar, Cherry on Bass on RDominick on Vox. And Your Bird Can Sing (24) 634,922 Drive My Car (36) 748,562 Paperback Writer (18) 732,102 Taxman (59) 630,618 Back in the USSR (220) 632,464 Getting Better (10) 759,918 - TOP TEN SCORE Good Morning Good Morning (45) 838,004 Hello Goodbye (50) 832,643 Hey Bulldog (127) 714,975 I am the Walrus (125) 1,114,140 Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (136) 705,748 Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band / A Little Help from my Friends (62) 1,413,253 Within You Without You (102) 295,060 Yellow Submarine (37) 747,543 RDominick had to leave and we had a quick break then returned with Jesse on Vox, Cherry still rocking on Bass and Pickford on Guitar. Birthday (198) 531,481 Come Together (136) 921,333 Helter Skelter (110) 760,145 Here Comes the Sun (100) 808,304 Octopus' Garden (82) 680,565 Revolution (150) 929,005 Something (11) 680,683 NEARLY TOP TEN SCORE Dig a Pony (45) 655,732 Don't Let Me Down (14) 818,996 A BIT LESS NEARLY TOP TEN SCORE Get Back (60) 721,299 I Me Mine (229) 456,062 I Want You (She's So Heavy) (257) 1,117,633 I've Got a Feeling (5) 1,044,602 TOP TEN SCORE The End (172) 339,835 let down by my disasterous drum solo :S Great jamming everyone

Funk put a band together last night - I was so sick of the stock kit that I agreed to play (my embarrasingly bad attempt at) bass. Funk rocked on drums, VW shook the World on guitar and Tack sang his heart out. We played QP so no band scores recorded but for the record here was the setlist, scores and positions: The Hand that Feeds (72) 1,043,991 The Fixer (9) 7659,987 TOP TEN SCORE Desperate Times, Desperate Measures (113) 1,086,926 My Name is Jonas (11) 1,393,551 Blitzkrieg Pop (64) 890,694 Porch (57) 573,960 Like a Fool (88) 713,537 Kids in America (538) 1,256,799 Are You Gonna Go My Way (50) 1,239,044 Let Love Rule (15) 1,239,044 Ironic (6) 1,046,571 TOP TEN SCORE Head over Feet (5) 1,530,333 TOP TEN SCORE (You are a beautiful Princess Tack Rebel Yell (20) 1,329,930 (20) E-Pro (845) 586,665 I'm Shipping Up to Boston (19) 520,111 (amazingly I found a song I'd rather play on Bass than Drums) Take Me Out (50) 1,091,560 Sweetness (46) 1,200,410 Re: Your Brains (19) 1,086,238 Mr Cab Driver (18) 1,054,211 Aweseom job everyone - thanks for putting up with my feeble bassing

Yeah, I dunno, I prefer quick play. It lets everybody pick a song and I don't have to be like "Any requests? What, huh? Turn your mic up! Say that again? You want Shooting Star or Shining Star?" I can't stand that stuff.
Thanks for writing the scores down though Jim/Paul ;D I got to thinking around the next to last song that I should have been doing that lol.

Always happy to write down the scores, I’m very OCD about these things. Oddly I don’t actually care that much about where I come on the leaderboards I just like to know where we scored if that makes sense. I don’t mind if I come in at 807th, I just like to know that I was 807th. Its always nice to get a high ranking score but that’s not really why I play the game.
I prefer the way everyone gets to pick songs in Quickplay but then also like to get the Freddy band name on the Leaderboards. I tend to leave it in Quickplay whilst I’m getting a band together, ie playing with less than 4 people, then switch over to World Tour when/if a 4th comes in.
It’s a shame there isn’t a “Band Quickplay” option where you can all pick scores and play individual songs rather than sets but under a band name.
Anyway on that note there was a QP jam played by me, Jesse1367 and Zakkwyldex last night. I was so relieved to have fixed the Ions (I took the pin out of the clamp holding the controller and used it to fix the drum back on, the controller is now held on by an elastic band round the clamp) that I didn’t even look at the scores but it was a fun jam.
I’ve now ordered 2 spare clamps and pins and a spare drum head in case of future accidents, as Jesse said once you’ve played on the Ions you can never go back.
Incidentally I’m off work next week so will be looking for plenty of jams.
Keep Rocking
